Convert to Line Art

Converts photographs into clean line drawings — either black and white technical sketches or colored 2D illustrations.

When to use it

Reach for Convert to Line Art when you need a drawing rather than a photo — a black-and-white technical sketch for a spec sheet, or a clean colored illustration for a lookbook or marketing piece. It's a quick way to turn a finished product image into production-ready or stylized line work.

How to use it

1. Upload the photograph or product image you want to convert.

2. Toggle "Preserve Original Colors" on or off:

OFF (default): Creates a traditional black outline drawing on a white background, like a fashion technical sketch.

ON: Creates a colored 2D line art illustration that preserves the exact colors from the original image while simplifying the rendering into clean outlines and flat color fills.

3. Click Generate. Cost: 3 credits. Download as SVG to manipulate the vectors further in Adobe Illustrator

Each conversion costs 3 credits.

Tips

Preserve Original Colors mode is great for creating stylized product illustrations for lookbooks or marketing materials. The standard black-and-white mode is ideal for technical spec sheets and production drawings.
